P1 will work with you to evaluate the project systems and concepts, followed by a detailed review of project-specific construction logic. This review will adequately determine the ease and duration of the work.

P1 Construction, LLC’s design-build solutions provide a single point of responsibility and offer the building owner many unique project delivery advantages. Constructing design-build and design-assist projects is a strength of our preconstruction specialists. Due to our depth of expertise in a wide range of markets, we are qualified to suggest alternate solutions at a basic and advanced system level. The P1 design-build team will evaluate several system type variations and budgets in order to select the best and most affordable systems for the project.

The P1 accelerated approach allows the team to quickly handle material and equipment orders, which translates into time and cost savings for the owner. Every successful project is positive and collaborative - benefiting the owner and all parties involved.

P1 can create complete in-house designs or effectively manage outside consultants, if preferred. We recommend the proper system for each facility by educating the client about initial and life cycle costs, energy efficiency, system complexity, and overall maintainability.

Preconstruction estimating includes the completion of a scope document, along with system selection and design engineering, as required. Using documented and proven historical cost information, we provide reliable cost opinions and GMP Estimates used to determine the completed cost of the work and assist in the budget analysis process. Costs are broken down into multiple system components so that the information is presented in a logical format with the appropriate amount of detail. Methods used in the process include cost/square foot, unit cost values, and quantitative takeoffs.

Depending on the budget constraint, P1 can offer cost reduction options from minor specification changes to major system changes. Our engineering and estimating experience enables us to discuss small-scale system changes to large-scale changes, including alterations to specific materials.

Our expertise in methods and materials costs allows us to offer additional cost-saving items such as changing piping material, pipe joining method, insulation type, or pipe hanger type.

P1 develops a detailed schedule, taking into consideration design and drawing status, equipment deliveries, manpower loading, and project milestones showing the involvement of all related project team members.

Partnering with our own in-house Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager, P1 will establish, document, and monitor project standards and procedures as they relate to the respective scopes of work, ensuring they are consistent with the Owner and General Contractor’s objectives.
