P1 Charity Golf Tournament Raises $12,260
LENEXA, KS – The 15th annual P1 Group Charity Golf Tournament raised $12,260 for The Young Traffic Offenders Program (YTOP) of The Research Foundation. Paul Smith of P1 Group presented the check recently to Foundation staff.
“We are extremely grateful for this generous donation from P1 Group,” said Rose Simone, director of development at The Research Foundation. “YTOP educates approximately 500 young drivers each year through a 6-hour program. YTOP teaches young drivers about the importance of seat belts and driving safely by avoiding distracted driving, impaired driving, speeding and other driving offenses. This powerful program is brought to life by trauma center personnel, crash victims, and law enforcement.”
Ricky Rohaus, Scott Duncan, Josh Short and Brock Hall, who scored 59, continued their winning streak for the fifth straight year. Todd Mihalchik, Jacob Francis, Corbin Fransico and Paul Titus won the B Flight, with a score of 69.
The tournament raises money primarily through raffle tickets sold for prizes, worth thousands of dollars, donated by P1 Group partners and vendors. There are also pay-to-play challenges on the course. In addition, P1 Group matches the funds raised each year.
